Brian O’Toole is a senior technology executive with over 30 years of building and growing high performance technology businesses at startup, growth and Fortune 100 companies. He brings a unique blend of business and technical experience with a strong background in geospatial technologies, location based services, remote sensing, predictive analytics, web platforms, and cloud computing. Over his career he has developed solutions for customers in defense, intelligence, public safety, transportation, energy, and homeland security.
Brian O’Toole currently serves as Chief Technology Officer for BlackSky. He was the Founder and CEO of OpenWhere, an innovative start up delivering global scale geospatial intelligence solutions to public and private sector customers. OpenWhere was acquired by BlackSky in June 2016 after which Brian transitioned to his new role.
Brian holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Clarkson University and a M.S. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.
He has been a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 30 years.
Brian is married to Bridget. They have two children, Molly and Patrick. They are members of St. Luke’s parish and children attend school there. They are active members of the parish and the school’s PTO.
